Too much wine, not enough time

Yesterday I spent the better part of my afternoon updating my wine invetory and organizing the cellar. What a task. Johnee Bee, fellow Flash animator, illustrator and developer helped me through it all.

We tasted a number of good wines, but the 1996 Vine Cliff Merlot was perhaps the most impressive. With it's earth, cedar and slight tar with a core of dark berry fruit and multi-layered personality gave it a pomerolesque character.

Also enjoyable was the 1997 Robert Craig Howell Mountain Cabernet with its unusually subdued fruit witha casual elegance that made it quite approachable for a Wednesday evening.

Others included the 2000 Loring Gary's Vineyard Pinot Noir (wonderful and fruit driven) and 1999 Spottswoode Cabernet.
